Drying accidental success

So I just wanted to throw this out there and get some feedback. About a year or so back I had dried a crop in a bit of an unconventional way and it resulted in the best bud I've ever produced. I have not been able to replicate these results to date.

To summarize, I pretty much did everything you're not supposed to do:
I harvested and trimmed wet/fresh and did not keep the whole plat intact i.e. "whole plant drying method." Instead I chopped individual branches apart and hung each from a line after the trim.
I had nowhere to dry at the time so I had to use my veg room (closet) which was the only space I could hang stuff. This room of course has bright T5 light 18 hours a day which is supposed to degrade THC.
Due to the vegging plants transpiring, the humidity level in the closet had to be upwards of 70-75% RH with temps of around 70-75 degrees (by all standards very high and risking mold)
Excellent air circulation though with multiple fans blowing (even directly on the hanging buds, also a no no)

The buds took about 2 weeks to come to a moist state (not even dry), and were fine trimmed and jarred (no mold whatsoever). With no curing time at all, the smell when opening the jars was absolutely the most incredibly pungent aroma I've ever smelled. Like Pinesol and jet fuel. And the smoke was out of this world.

I've been working with the same strain this entire time but never had results even coming close to these using all the conventional drying methods i.e. 55% RH, whole plant drying, in complete darkness, dry trim etc.

I'm not writing this as a guide but more to ask, what factors could be responsible for the success of this anomaly? E.g. high humidity and extended drying?

Has anyone else had any similar experiences?
