Dry Ice to increase potency

I read somewhere years ago that wrapping your dried buds in paper, then surrounding the paper package in dry ice and placing in the refrigerator until the dry ice has evaporated, will increase the potency of the buds.

Is this true, has anyone tried it or similar? If so, did it work?

Or is it rumour and nonsense?

I've never tried it or heard of it before but it sounds like total nonsense to me, I cant see how doing that could possibley help potency. What was their theory as to why it made it higher to do so?

I think from memory the dry ice was supposed to alter the THC or CBD ratio or availability or something like that. I was reading another thread where someone made mention of the old 'hang your buds upside down so all the resin drains to the buds' gag and it got to reminding me of some of the other old pot myths rife amongst growers I knew, including the dry ice fridge potency boost method.
I was hoping someone has tried it, so I don't have to.

better off taking that dry ice and putting it in ur grow room while still alive for a nice co2 boost

i beleive i read that in the anarchist cookbook years ago. never tried it but i always thought it was bs. they also said mold will make your buds more potent which i know for a fact is bs.
