drug test question for

So here is my question for you CO residents.....

Are employers drug testing and if so what are they looking for?
If they are drug testing do they reject anyone who tests for THC?

Asking from a Mich prospective, we got mmj but employers are still testing and rejecting anyone who is positive :/

Thanks for your info

Depends on the company but from what I have seen there are no exceptions for mmj in company policy at this time. As a matter of fact some of the accounts I frequent are asking contractors to have recent drug test on file to enter the site.

They won't hire you if you piss hot for thc. Just cause its legal here doesn't mean the employers are ok with it. I had my red card and still got fired.

Pissin aint a problem. It's when they try to get some hair :(

As for your question, yes. I have had to pass to many GREAT opportunities due to stupid UA. Good thing the owner I work for now is cool with smoke, as long as it's not at work obviously :weed:

That's bullshit bro! I don't understand how this is still allowed. Once 'we' passed the law they should have changed that crap. Talk about a smack in the face. "You are now allowed to legally smoke marijuana in the state of Colorado, except if you work, your companies policies trump state law". LAME!

while it is lame, there really is no state law requiring that a business hire someone who pisses hot for thc..

it really is all about a co's insurance, as they get an insurance break for drug free work places, which obviously is complete horse shit.

There's job that test for alcohol, too. Just saying. Look around for companies that don't judge. I've had a professional career with great companies that didn't require any testing (besides background shit).

How does a 30% tax feel on your face. It's all relative as long as politicians are running this country!

the really really great thing is, in my field most everyone's a stoner. What happens when you lose most of your entire workforce due to a UA?
Back in the 90s I worked for a company that decided to do random testing but they told the entire company "pots ok".
Mainly this was because the owners of the company were stoners BUT most of the rest of the company had more severe problems, basically meth was the problem.
If I'm made to piss in a bottle and really want the job I'll go to lengths to pass. if it's just another piece of shit no future job whats the point and I'll gladly piss in the cup if they'll hold it/shake it for me. Even knowing the outcome.
I think I got off subject but am kinda floating sideways and don't much give a fuck.

You should feel fortunate bro, I'm jealous. It depends on which field you are in... if say, you do work servicing an industry governed by the DOE, then random drug tests are a way of life until congress gives states waivers to the CSA of 1970 and it's bitch sister The Drugfree Workplace Act of 1985. That second piece of shit came along just in time to coincide with my entry to the job market. I've been beating drug tests for damn near 30 years and I'm fucking tired of it.... not too many in the last 10 years but still. I can remember chugging a gallon of the foulest brew known to man before I went on a 2nd interview fresh out of school cause I was afraid they would test me, had to piss the whole time. Sorry I'll get off my soapbox now, I know I'm preaching to the choir.

I had a phone interview today and the lady asked me twice if I could pass a drug test. I almost said I Have my medical card but of course I really want the job so I said yes.

It really does suck. I hate it. I for one would probably be shitty worker, whine 24/7 right along with everyone else, and would've quit my field a long time ago if it was for our beautiful flowers :weed:
