Droopy Leaves Need Help

i am growing two bagseed plants in a water farms type drip system.
i have a 200 watt cfl / 13,000 lumens with reflective ballast and use general hydro nutes.
the lights have been on 24/7 and i do daily ph tests / keep it around 6.5.
the plants were transplanted from soil. they grew in the soil for 3-4 days after sprouting under a weak light.
also i did not use rockwool. i simply put the roots into the hydroton.
both plants show good signs of life, producing leave sets and not stretching. however,
some of the first and second sets are showing brown / dead tips. pics are below / please help!
--------------------
1st pic = 1st plant / under light after germinating for 3 days while the 2nd plant received little or no light at first
2nd pic = the set up
3rd pic = another of the 1st plant
4th pic = 2nd plant

looks like nutrient burn to me, back off the ppm to 400. how many times does your pump run in the day?

my pump was running 24/7.
i then did some more reading due to my plant wilting / dying as shown above.
so now my pumps are running approximately hour on / hour off.
the nutes are very dilluted / half strength of recommended for gh schedule
ph is lowered to 5.8 / 6.0 as well. we'll see if they recover. i hope :-|

The roots may not be getting enough oxygen, once an hour is probably still too much, the lava rocks should be fairly dry before the next watering.
