drooping leaves after taking clone cuttings

I cut the first set of feeder leaves off today and now my seedling is showing signs of dying, leaves are curling under but it isnt showing any other sign as of yet when i cut the leaves off i used a touch of the rootech cloning gel as i cut to try this out as a clone cutting method to help reduce stress at the cut point (read this somewhere) anyway the seedling is showing immediate signs of stress so i prepared 2 litres of Ph adjusted water and rinsed down the seedling and the hydroton medium around the base to rinse away and dilute any nutes or residue cloning gel. I saved enough to spray down the leaves with a fine mist until they were covered with droplets in hopes this would revive the seedling before any damage is done permanently feedback here would be good thing hope i did the correct fix here

everythin gthat touches a newly cut clone should be 100% sterile. Take the cutting and plan t it and put a dome or something over it to retain the heat and humidity, checking on it every day to water the leaves and get some new air into the dome.

i keep everything very sterile and it was a clean procedure it isnt the clone cuttings i am concerned for it is the mother plant which is in distress i think she might have been to young for taking cuttings but any way she is bouncing back with lots of extra attention and care and a little pick me up music all is well
