drooping clones, please help! see pics! under watering or over watering? shock?

So this is my first grow....i just got these clones from a dispensary, they are in little soil pots as you can see...when rootbound i will transplant into bigger pots for their final destination.

1. how can i tell when it is ootbound?

2. Is that when i should transplant it?

They went from under flourenscents to my 180watt LED light. i only have limited space as you can see. The guys at the dispensary told me to start with the light as high as possible to avoid shock...

The second i put them in they were ALOT droopier than in these photos, the slowly came back. It has been three days now and before i over water and drown them i want to get some advice!

3. How often do i water them in pots like this? The top of the soil goes dry within hours but when i stick my finger in it it still somewhat moist. I don't want to s tick my finger way down there and disturb the roots.... any advice?

well im no pro,only starting my 2nd grow but you dont want rootbound plants so you will transplant before then,at least thats what i understand.Give them a week or two to get use to there new home then transplant into bigger pots. To avoid overwatering let the soil go dry, youre plants will look kinda wilted and the pots will be really light, then water, slowly water intill you get a little run off, take note to how pots feel before and after watering then you should have a idea of when and how much to water hope this helped

well is the soil wet, moist, dry..?

i would think that common sence could answer this question for ya..

Bro if your plants are drooping like that it looks like you have already over watered them and the longer you let them stay in those square pots the better the clone isn't ready to be transplanted until you you can pull the clone from the square cup and all the dirt comes out in one solid piece with it transplanting the plant before it has grown into it's cup means you will stress the root system breaking all the dirt the roots have bonded themselfs to if your in a hurry to transplant them then take some scissors and cut the bottom of the cup off so yor roots can spread

NO NO dont let ur soil go dry...the soil will seperate, or crack and break ur roots..

just make sure its moist 1-1.5 inches down, if its dry you need to water...!

Look at my journal, I went through the same thing thinking they didn't like my environment I gave them. Turns out they just need a little time to revive up. I used superthrive and they perked right up.. Give it time, they'll be alright. With all do respect deerhunters advice had me confused and lost.....?

i gave some water, they went up for a little bit and now this morning back down.....is it maybe just shock 4 days after i took them from weak florescent to my LED?

get a mister/spray bottlle and spray them down constantly throughout the day, when there is no roots,you have to feed them through the stomata. I use a little olivia's cloning solution and every couple hrs,give 'em a spritz

You should be fine, I picked up some clones from 2 different places a couple weeks ago. And now they're fine, but you need to do what victorygarden said just mist them and water them every few days. Those pots are small so they don't retain water for very long like bigger pots do. And wait at least a week or two before transplanting them.

Still unclear if drooping is a result of over or udner watering? Also how do i know when to transplant....
