dr 120 help

ok guys please no flaming ok i only ever grown 1 plant under light it was greenhouse white widow under 125w cfl it went ok around 1oz dry weight so i was thinking wanna go bigger but nothink to complicated well what i wanted to know i got room for a dr120 i would only put a hps in there as i will have a seperate small veg room would you recommend a 400w hps or 600w?

i would probably try grow somethink from the white family to start with just my preference and i will keep a mother in veg so i will probably veg long ish like 6-8 weeks also how many palnt would you say i could safely fit in this tent at that size?

I would roll the 600... a 120 is about 4x4 so you would be really stretching a 400 thin, especially if your wanting to veg for 6-8 weeks. A 400 is not going to penetrate very well... just my 2 cents... oh and spend the little extra and get a growlab 120 I consider myself a tent junky.. I bought my first one about 3 years ago... after a coupleb different makers and models... nothing but growlabs for me!! Good luck

ok cool thanks quick reply also im going to soil grow any idea on the best amount and size pots ? im gonna veg like i say 6wk or more for a higher yield so any thoughts

I would go with 3 gallon containers. And if you are going to let your plants get that big, go with a 1000w if u can. Much better light penetration and better yields. What are your plans for ventilation? And if u plan to veg for two months, I wouldnt go over 10 plants, especially if using a smaller light

I have a 1000 watter in mine with an air cooled xxxl reflector. c02 and exhaust on separate timers. Never gets above 80 pulled 1lb off 7 plants last round. Had ph problems though so I should do better this round. I have 6 white lightning plants one week in and I did alot of training. Nice even canopy. The dr 120 is closer to five feet square btw.

ok so im thinking more like 6 weeks now but widows grow short ish so i would trim them to be well bushy and i was gonna keep a mother so i can have a constant flow so say when one lot been in flower say 3-4 weeks take clones from the mother and leave with her so there ready soon as the others are out

Five square feet?? try 16, as 4x4=16. Where did u get 5 from??? the dr 120 is 120cm x 120cm, which is approximately 47.25" x 47.25

I think he was trying to say the dr120 is 5x5.. negative... just under 4x4
