dozens of good guys with guns fail to stop single bad guy with gun

Impossible. Texas is full of "open carry" patriots. This whole time I've been listening to these morons saying that if they were allowed to carry, they would stop attacks like this. Yet when I turned on the news, all of the footage that I saw showed nothing but a bunch of wannabe "cowboys" running like bitches. Needless to say, I was shocked. I mean this is "rough and tumble" Texas after all. I've said to myself a million times, "Something like this could NEVER happen in Texas!". I have now lost all faith in humanity, because if this can happen in a state with the toughest talking ombre's this side of the Pecos river, we're obviously ALL fucked!! :o

The remote bomb thing did raise my eyebrows....you think they could have used the old teargas firebomb from the old days. Or turned off the water & starved him out

The point that this debunks the notion that armed citizens can contribute to public well-being in a defensive roll is poorly thought out.

These men who were shooting were holed up in an elevated structure and barricaded in. There weren't any good guys with guns around them.

No one is claiming armed citizens can transform into Superman or Batman. These assholes weren't shooting from the middle of the food court in a shopping mall.

If you were an armed citizen and pulled out a gun with cops around engaged in a gunfight you'll get shot and probably get thrown in the pokey if you survive.
If there were cops around there would be no need for the mythological figure of the armed citizen. He is there naturally, he isn't first on sceene he is part of the sceene. Not a first responder but an immediate responder or defender.

People successfully defend themselves all the time. If you don't think guns equal less crime then take it up with the fbi its their figures. Areas that have ccw statistically have less gun crimes. If you don't want guns go to mexico and see how that's working out.

So should we update the saying to "More gun's who are not holed up in an elevated structure and barricaded in = more safety"?

I mean, if you're just going to keep moving the goalposts until whatever scenario that presents itself suits your own argument, why do we even bother with discussing this shit?

A black guy killed 5 white cops because he was fed up with the current justice system that perpetuates white on black violence and delivers white on black "justice"

that doesn't explain why england has so much less gun crime though, peckerwood.
I already told you, less criminals. The problem in this country is crazy people getting their hands on them and irresponsible people leaving them out for others to have access. You sound like piers morgan.

It seems to me that being crazy would immediately disqualify you from owning a gun

So how do we protect against crazy people obtaining guns? And how would you punish someone for illegally obtaining/using a gun without obstructing the 2nd amendment?
