what is the best, water after or before the lights going off? and when I nut? every watering? or lets say, I do 3 watering during the week I nut once and the other two don't? witch is the best way? thanks!

I'm no expert, but less is more when it comes to nutrients. You want to ease the plants into accepting the nutes and to flush every few weeks to make sure there isn't build up. If you're using potting soil with time release fert, make sure you don't start adding nutes until a few weeks at least have gone by. I think when you do start giving the plants nutrients, read the nutes directions and then start at a 3rd of what is recommended to start with (both frequency and dosage) and slowly build up the dose/frequency to recommended levels. Overdoing the nutes is one of the most common causes of dead weed plants.

Seems like most nute instructions suggest adding nutes every other watering. That's what I do. I usually start my nutes off at full strength of the recommended dose. I used to ease into it, but I never had any nute burn so I just go full bore at the onset. But that's just me.

Also, everything I've ever read suggests it's best to water at the beginning of your 'lights on' cycle.

It depends on what your growing in...... If its soil (promix), then you dont water as often (maybe once every 2-3 days), if its Coco, you water daily.... I personally use coco.... You water WITH nutrients 6 days per week..... Then on the 7th day, you use PH'd water ONLY to give them kind of a flush... Any runoff in coco is waste, so you get rid of that with a drain or wet vac... You cant over water coco as long as you do it correctly... This promotes the most VIGOROUS growth Ive ever seen in my life.... Im talkin, like 30% faster and bigger and healthier than soil.... Sure you waste some water and nutrients in that overflow, but the finished product is sooooo much better... As for the best time to water..... It is right when your plants are waking up.... So about 30 minutes after the lights come on, feed....

I try to water/feed as soon as the lights come on. I feed every second watering, so feed one time, just water the next time. The watering acts like a flush to get any built up salts out of the soil. Make sure you are getting some good run off as well out of the bottom of your pot, about 25 percent works for me. And stay away from soils with time release ferts as mentioned above, they are a pain to control soil PH and by adding nutes yourself you know exactly what your plant is getting. I use just plain soil with no NPK rating and add my nutes as required. Good Luck!
