Does weed look like less grinded up ?

So I was looking through my old pack pack to find this mini fan for my grow room and I found a bag of grinded up dank that says 1/8 on the bag I was happy when I found this but I don't know if its an 8th due to the fact that I do not have a scale and its grinded it looks more like small I but it is fatter than any grinded gram I ever had but does weed look like less when grinded ?

Generally yes. I guess it depends on the flower, but in my experience it does.
