im not sure but i think i got the same problem. i got little white magget looking things that leave black spots. and i have no clue what they are.

I don't know anything about H202 but Predatory Nematodes (tiny worms) will kill fungus gnat larvae in your soil. and yellow sticky tape can get the adults.

Fungus gnats are more of a nuisance though and won't harm your plats if they are mature, I think they can stunt seedlings though.

I'm not sure what your talking about keveners, got a picture?

Only if you use too much. H2O2 breaks down quickly, just step up how much you use each time you water. You're looking for a LIGHT foaming on the top of the soil, after a few times of that the gnats will be gone. Biggest risk is using too much and giver her a quick scorching.

I had to perform this recently on a few plants...some took it well but two of them were pretty far beyond repair. I think the gnats got to them before I could get to the gnats. I'll post a couple pictures as soon as I get them on my comp. I used 1 PART H202 (Hydrogen Peroxide for newbies) and 4 PARTS of H20 (water) and just watered each one till the foam came up about 1/2" to 3/4" above the soil. Then I just let it drain.

I'm still holding on to my sickest babies (2). Gnats are 98% contained...every so often I see one flying around but it is nothing compared to the invasion I had before. Due to too much moisture in the soil (overwatered). Live and learn and keep on growin ;)

Happy Growing!

I'm getting some lady bugs tomorrow.. do they help with gnats at all? Those gnats are bastards! I've done the potato trick.. and I've removed quite a few larvae but the gnats keep coming back. I have sticky traps everywhere and they have caught a ton of them.
