Does purple on the stem mean a calcium deficiency?

I know someone who has some auto aks and auto lemon haze. They both are purple on them stem connecting the leaf to the main stalk. Ive heard before that this could be a calcium deficiency but i wanted a second opinion before i did anything. Help is appreciated!!

no it doesnt well depends on where it is but if its the bright purple on the stems of older leaves then its no worries keep onkeepin on

calcium is little spots from what ive seen the purple they talk about is a calcium od i think if i remember right something to do with a iron lock in or out

i have an f-13 in veg for about 9 weeks and the stem is ruby red...always has been...plant is in excellent health

Fan leaf stems going red or purple is a very common and normal occurrence.

Red/purple stems are normal on many breeds.
