Hey everyone, I'm just curious if anyone's noticed a scent or flavour imparted in their cannabis from heavy wildfire in their area?

I'm not sure but I would think it will have some impact on the taste but likely won't be that noticeable....but who knows, it may become as tasty as smoked salmon

not much you can do about it, so just hope your area stays safe....and could be worst, wonder how many grows got wipe out from the Mount Polley mine spill

Wash the buds if you're worried about particulate on the plant. There might be ash. Google bud washing. I've done it just for the hell of it and I grow indoors.

Yeah I never really thought about ashes, I don't have anything to worry about now, the heaviest part of the fire season so far was during veg

  • About 10 kilometer of Hazeltine Creek have been completely destroyed through the flood of the water, by destroyed I mean going from a one to two meter wide creek bed to one close to 50 meters wide. Hazeltine Creek was used by coho to spawn
This is where it ends at quesnel lake approx 10k away

Just east near the monashee's. I guess it's technically the okanagan, but we have a lot more of a connection to the quiet mountains than we do the busy valley and lakes. It's much more peacefull out here :)

Yes
Yes it does.. buds might turn your hands black when you break it up too.
Same with the next generation.
Lost bout 1,000 acres one year, just a few mesquite trunks. Good thing we don't get people flying over head down here, the contrast was beautiful
