doctors and medical marijuana perscriptions

Hello everyone! I've been having doubts about my doctor. He charged me $500 for my first appointment which he said $250 goes to the medical marijuana program for the refill and $250 for the appointment itself. What are your doctors charging you and is it hard getting a refill? Is this too high in the state of NJ?

Living in a legal state for recreational makes me think you are getting screwed. Never went the medical route before it was fully legalized here, black market was and still is cheaper.
