Do you really need it?

I'm new to growing and currently I'm in week 5 of flower. I always see people with exhaust fans and carbon filters and I get the carbon filter for smell but do you really need the exhaust fan if you don't care about smell ? I use a 6 inch computer fan on the lower opening of my tent and have one sucking air out of the top.

For that one small plant you can probably get away with just the computer fans. For something like this.... you need more.

If you don't care about the smell then no you don't need a carbon filter. Whether or not you actually need an exhaust fan is going to depend on how your grow is setup. You don't want stagnant air so you need airflow. That can be achieved using different means. Some have tents in rooms where they can leave them open. In that case you might not need an exhaust fan. In a tent with the door closed you might need an exhaust fan to exhaust the heat and exchange air. Different scenarios require different requirements.

Dude said he has 2 computer fans.... probably moving close to 100cfm. He will be fine considering the small plant and small light.

I thought about doing computer fans because I got plenty of them and they're all corsair and noctua but when I checked cfm them things were like 13 and 15 cfm which won't do much in a 5x5.

I mean if you were doing a single small autoflower under a small 100w led, it would probably be ok.
