the electricity you use for lights? I'm in an apartment and if I use, say... 800 watts (one MH and one HPS. heard it was better to combine, maybe not?), do you think that would be obvious and risky?

what about 2000 watts? I kind of wanted to get two 1000watters.

Meh... Youd be surprised how much some people who arent growing use electricity.

Conserve in other areas and it will be okay...

Now having 20 1,000watters will be a giveaway.. Besides, im not so certain the electric company sees someone using massive amounts of electricity and alerts the police... That'd take from their ends.

Cut down on production costs by using everything you can get your hands on, CO2, light movers, light switches, CFL reflectors for veg and clones, and opt for the good nutes.

Seems awfully unproductive to getting money.

That'd be like if the hydro shop turned people in. They'd go out of business. lol
I only speak of what i know
Round here laws have been passed that force electric companies to cooperate with police .1 of them being, notifying of certain changes in residential use. What the red flags r i dont know.

and when I say "light switch" I am referring to this HID SMART controller that will allow you two run 2 lights off of 1 ballasting by switching between lights every 12 hours, allowing you two operating 2 rooms using only 50% of the electricity.
u will still be using same electricity 12 hrs each or 12 hrs both

yeah but you will be able to run two grow rooms using half the required ballasts. so rather than having to pull electricity from both, you only need to pull from one, and just set it to switch which port the electricity goes to.

I look at it like this,

If you are in a apartment there is no reason why you should be running over 2000 Watts let alone over 1000.

However if you live in a house the electricity company might figure, Ok the bigger the house then they might need more lights and appliances around the house so that the amount of watts would be normal.

I look at it like this... there is a reason why the circuit breaker panels support such a high load. 800 Watts isn't a lot, you can support more- it's really up to you. Just pay your bill on time.
