Do you have to use fertiliser in a hydro system?

Hi, can anyone tell me do you have to use fertiliser in a hydro system? what would happen if you just used advanced nutes A + B, silicone, fulvic, bio plus and bio pac thro veg and boost accelerator and vita link buddy..changing to bloom A+B of course.. ??

oh ok ..I didnt realise they were.. I thought that B52 etc werefertilizers
Most everything you see on the shelves at a hydro store is a fertilizer. There are fertilizers with just plain nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus and there are more complex fertilizers that include or just focus on specific micro nutrients but they are all fertilizers. Most fulvic/humic acid and the other more specific nutrients you see on the shelves is predominantly primary macro nutrients with just a little bit of fulvic/humic acid or whatever else it is that's in large print on the container (you will notice most all of them have an N,P,or K rating).

"Fertilizers (or fertilisers) are substances that supply plant nutrients or amend soil fertility." Calcium additives that primarily just help with magnesium absorption and pH/CEC buffering are still considered fertilizer - same with lime and gypsum even though very little of it is ever absorbed into the plant.
