do plants prefer pure white light to warm white?

I have a plant in flowering surrounded by equal number of white and warm white CFLs of identical wattage (is this a good idea?).
The leaves seem to be turning towards white... like increasing pitch on a propeller. Why is this happening?

The warm white have in fact slightly higher lumen rating.

daylight white is best for vegging, you should look into a hps for flowering but i think the warm white has more reds and yellow in the spectrum

haha thats all good mate, im the same always trying to do home jobs instead of buying pro equipment. I get better results than my friends who spend heaps, i reckon its cos i love it more than them and as long as you care for your plants you will do well. But maybe you should put the lights so they alternate or just use the whites. I use the cheap household cfl bulbs in a standard house fixture for vegging, they are only 24w but a few of them keeps my girls happy with a small oil heater in front of the fan for warmth.

Shit i just re-read ur post and realised you are flowering lol. You should really look into getting a hps lamp a 250w isnt very expensive and it would do much better than cfl in flowering. I have never used cfl in flower so im not sure what type of bulb is best.
