Do I need a reflector? Built a 500w LED array.

Hi friends!

You have no idea how happy I am to be here and that I get to ask questions.

My first question is about my LED set up.

I've had a large amplifier heatsink around.

So I attached 10x 100 watt LEDs -- which I will be driving at around 60-65% of their maximum capacity to up the efficiency.

My heat sink is 30 cm by 15 cm's (so 10 by 6 in.). There are 2 parallel lines of 5 LEDs positioned on it.

I am attaching a CAD drawing to show you what it looks like.

So

1) Can you please tell me in your experience how high I should hang this?
2) Should I build reflectors using mylar glued on MDF around this lamp?

Even though they say light output is at 120 degrees, a large chunk of photons fall right under the chips at shorter heights.

BTW my tent is 1m by 1m (3.3 ft by 3.3 ft). It has diamond type reflective walls.

What's the actual wattage draw on these cobs? If each one is drawing 65w actually then about 2ft above the plants because those are concentrated in a small area. What ar edge dimensions of that heatsink? Not a small task to get rid of 650W in a tiny spot.

I don't see a reflector helping and think a fan will be need on the heat sink.

Up to 100w recommended.
You can go overboard with these with adequate cooling.
I choose to drive them at 65% of recommended capacity to get more flux per watt.

Edge dimensions: 300 x 150 mm.

Thanks :)
