DO GIANT PLANTS PRODUCE THINNER BUDS?

Hello RIU!

Do any of you have experience with giant plants? I'm sure some here do. How was your yield and bud density?

I was reading in another forum that giant plants produce thinner buds. I'm not sure I'm buying it. It seems that with proper light and nutes, the bud density should be the same as on a smaller plant.

What do you all think?

I think its a very fine line between big and to big. A lot depends on your lights and the size of your pots you are using.
But you can over do it by growing to big

So right now my plants are indoors under 600's. Just upgraded to 5 gal pots, they're right at 28 in tall. I have the light at the same as sunrise to sunset for my location on June1.

June 1 they'll go outside to finish the natural season and be in 100 gal smart pots.
I hope to get 8 to 10 footers. I also hope to get some heavy ass colas.

Outdoors the only limitations are you. Watch for bud worms and other pests and keep them watered. Shit drys out fast outside.

That's what I'm thinking too! Thanks for the confirmations.

Damn RM3, great grow! If 400watters did that, I am not concerned with growing big thin buds...

The pics I referred to were on the page the link goes to (75) there were 4 plants in 5 gallon buckets, the weight tallies are near the end, it was years ago I don't remember ?

I did another grow (not here) where I started off by sayin, Gonna show ya how to get a pound off two plants. I did this to show med patients how to work within plant count limitations. and after the crop was weighed I missed it by 7 grams 8)

Damn dude sounds interesting lol makes me feel better i have two 400ws as well and was worried my plants would suffer since they are around 4ft but your growing style still seems more advanced u seem to use a lot of techniques and such so I'm sure that helps as well

I know a few things 8)

but you can do a lot with 2 400's

Yes sir I plan to find out soon I'm still new to the scene so I am growing diff strains to see which ones I like or what not still got a lot of seeds and seed strains bookmarked hopefully soon I find my perfect strain so I to can expirement with these ten gallons I have sitting around and grow some monsters

I hear ya. I don't even know what strains I have. A buddy gave me the seeds from dispenserary weed. I'm sure it's quality as I don't see too much junk come out of there.

Judging by growth rate and appearance I think 3 are sativas and the fourth a hybrid. Also cloned them all just for good measure. In 3 weeks there going in 100gal smartpots and going outside, they should be close to 4ft when they go out. I have a real good feeling they're going to be fairly large. As long as I can keep the deer away...
I would love to harvest 2lb plus plants. I'm hoping for a personal record this year
