Do fungus gnats eat leaves and is that what I have on my traps?

Hey everyone, hope your grows are going well. Was wondering if I could get some identification on these little bastards. To this point I wouldn't call it a huge problem, but, I don't want it to become one. I put new traps down about 48 hours ago and I've caught like 8 in that time. Original thinking is fungus gnats, but, I was under the impression they didn't eat leaves? I've had a couple nibbled on throughout the grow, at least that's what it looks like to me, but, I have yet to see anything in the soil or on the top/bottom sides of the leaves other than what is pictured in the traps below. Hoping they're not winged root aphids...either way, it's time to start thinking about how to resolve the issue before things get out of hand. Appreciate any help.

Those look like mosquitoes

As far as what may or not may be chewing on your leaves.. idk

That may be a fungus gnat or an aphid fly. The leaf damage is from a spray or possibly genetic mutation. It's common and shouldn't be a problem.

Fungus gnat. Or some kind of gnat. It didn’t eat your leaf, but houseflies will rip leaves even if the internet doesn‘t talk much about it.

No house flies in the tent, or the room that the tent is in. I've still only seen gnats to this point. I mixed neem cake with water and let it sit for a day then applied. Added a small amount of the neem cake too the top of the soil a few days later. Still see the occasional one flying around but noticed an uptick in deaths after applying the neem so it might be working.

I have seen some weird leaf growth with these plants and was reading it could be stress related. I'm putting them through a lot with the mainline so that could be playing a role. Thanks guys.

The damage from fungus gnats is from the larvae damage to roots, which of course results in leaf damage. Neem should mitigate the problem.
I've eliminated the problem with an orange oil (d-limonene) drench.
