DIY Heat Exchanger - No CO2 Loss

Unfortunately this only works when it is cold outside but it is still a great and cheep way to cool air. A window unit works in the summer.

The system uses an automobile intercooler coupled with a bathroom fan. You can purchase a large FMIC on ebay. Get one with 3" outlets.

Locate IC anywhere the air is cold such as an attic. A fan drawing air through the IC will make it more effective. Use a cheep box fan.

Plumb a bathroom fan to the IC in the attic and a hose returning into the grow room. The bathroom fan will force hot air in and it will be ice cold coming back. The real beauty is that if you have a CO2 system you will not lose any CO2 as no air is vented. Use a timer or temp switch so you don't freeze your plants.

Enjoy.
