DIY Carbon Filter (BOX)

So decided to make a carbon filter. Came up with a design... basic but it should work.. Hopefully I can install it tomorrow and I'll let you know how it goes. My only concern is that I might have made the filter "cartridge" a bit too thick. I guess Ill find out when I hook it up to the fan. Anyways here are the pics... its not step by step but its pretty basic as I said. Think It'll work?

Thats a really nice setup... maybe once i upgrade to something larger than a closet grow i'll have to use it. maybe ill make a smaller version based off yours.. thanx... +rep

looks like the air will flow over the filter, vs. flowing through the filter. but it is a nice clean build.

Thats the wood frame for the filter your seeing there.. The filter fits tight, air cant really move over the filter...

Looking good! :clap: I don't think you'll have any problems due to the thickness of the filter cartridge but I guess that will depend on the fan you use with it.

i know this post is pretty old but how did this work out for you? What size fan did you use? Did the filter work properly? i am thinking about building my own stealth air box similar to this, but with three carbon filters horizontally placed for three screens total.
