Divider for Growlab 145L?

Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody has made a DIY divider for any of their grow tents. I want to use the Growlab 145L as a half veg half flower room. I realize I could just go with 2 smaller 145's side by side, but found a site that sells the 145L for alot cheaper than two 145's. If anybody has any advice I'd appreciate it! thanks, kreeee

I paid $285 for my GL145
I paid $595 for my GL145L

Who is selling the 145L for "alot" cheaper?

I would not attempt a divider, the light leaks would be terrible.

actually i originally seen it for $500 shipped on ebay, but its not there anymore..
second best deal i seen was
greners.com

145 $281 shipped
145L $535 shipped

another reason i wanted this divider idea is so that when both lights are on in the veg side and the flower side I could raise the divider so the plants would get the advantage of two lights (I only have 2-400 watt light setups) I just figured this may help my plants get a better yield? I dont know just an idea. and as far as light leaking through, I'm one of the most obsessive DIY'ers anybody has probably ever met. I was just hoping somebody has done this before and could give me some ideas so I dont have to trial and error it myself. thanks for the input though, you might be right, maybe it is just too complicated to pull off correctly.....

The divider is possible with a bunch of zip ties and plastic tape, but then you'd play HELL getting it opened and closed every day. Plus circulation would have to be optimized for when they're seperated and that would screw up the chi when it was open.

I like the 145L because it leaves me enough room to place the dehumidifier at one end and floor fans at the other. This gives me nice air flow straight down the middle. Then I use 2 16" oscillating fans up top to swish around the canopy. Balancing the environment is difficult enough now, I can't imagine trying to do it with a divider in there.

Plus light leaks. A few small leaks and you could easily hermie the whole mf. Nothing like 2 months of your life waisted on ballz.

yeah, your probably right. I think I'm just gonna go with two 145's instead. those have side windows right? I was thinking of just putting the side zippers butted up together so I could unzip the windows when both lights are on and zip em up when flower light is off to acheive my dual light idea?

No side windows. It has 2 front windows approx 14"x24" ea. The front unzips down the middle, then each side can be peeled all the way around to the back wall. You could unzip the halves facing each other, but that would still leave 50% of the front face (middle section) wide open.

my old grow tent before the zipper broke i had two seperate compartments in it both with their own 250w i changed bulbs as needed from mh conversion to hps i used two diff scheduls grew sativtall plants on one side and short on other

after a new tent i have everything set up together now two loghts both run same time no seperation

seperation before was a permanet one a doubled black plastic ran from front to back down the center to to bottm then was doubled so curved to wall on each side and duct tapeddown the front opening curled back around wire from top to bottom worked fine no light leaks only thing was permanant

changed set up space to small to work with was only a 3 x 3 tent to start with

good luck

i love creativity
