Dishsoap in my system?

Hey guys just a quick question here, Im doing my first dwc run, in a 4 bucket rdwc system, I guess its technically Under current, but only using 1 inch tubes. Anyways, before I assembled the system i scrubbed everything down with Dawn Dishsoap to make sure it was clean and rinsed it quite thoroughly with hot water. I then assembled the system and filled it with RO to get it going for when the plants are ready to go in. Looking in the res though it seems a tiny bit of soap residue was somehow leftover, maybe a nook/cranny of one of the fittings. My question is, will this harm my plants, also, system will be running for a couple days before I add nutes/plants. Or should i completely drain the system and re-fill ?

If it were my grow i'd drain everything & rinse several times , in the future use industrial peroxide or bleach to clean the system , plastic is porus & will allways retain trace amounts of soap , ever drink from a plastic cup that wasnt rinsed well ? it tastes like ass , while small amounts of soap most likely wont harm the plants your just getting the system going so why even risk it when rinsing out the system once the system is going full steam will be much more difficult .

I use Dawn to clean and disinfect my system all the time. It works well it's cheap and it will not hurt your plants.

okay, so i would be safe to say, use the water thats in it now ? the only problem is, i have a smallboy and it takes about 4 hours just to do 5 gallons of RO, so its a HUGE pain in the ass to empty and refill the system, especially 2 days apart.

well i emptied the system, then filled it with tap water and emptied again, so hopefully all the soap residue should be out, none visible at this point.

I cleaned everything up. washed and rinsed pretty well. but must have had some soap in the pump. I ran the ebb and flow a couple times. looked in the resivour and noticed i had bubbles building up. the plants look great and I plan to clean everything in the morning. will this soap "dawn" hurt my plants? They seem to be fine. I have also read that using some soap with hydrogen peroxide actually kills root burrowing bugs/insects. could use some help here. thanks.

well then whoever started that thread didn't know what the fuck he was talking about. dish soap is fine. I run a surfactant in my rez
