Discovered cheap and highly effective reflective material I thought I should share.

Having been an avid extreme backpacker ( going into areas with no path as deep as twenty miles into wilderness ) I have always had an emergency camping blanket in my supplies. When I started my grow room, these immediately came to mind. For those unfamiliar with emergency blankets, they are made from a reflective plastic similar to mylar except that they reflect heat as well as light. The cheap thing about using these is that they cost roughly $2 each ( at Walmart ) and measure about 5'X8', so are almost custom made for covering small areas. They are a bit flimsy and tear easily around staples and nails so need to be treated gently, but I am having great success with them. Will be posting pics in other forum threads once I buy batteries for camera. Also, for bigger areas, I purchased foil tape which makes nearly invisible seams when joining multiple blankets together. Just thought I would pass this along.

they also have lots of small holes in it witch makes it less effective then white flat paint and mylar is proven to be 70% better white paint is 60% better sorry

Yup. Aluminum foil sucks. But aluminized mylar is the trick. LOL

Mylar (pure/virgin) is *clear*
The shiny mylar is shiny because of *aluminum* (but aluminum foil is bad?)

Wrinkles create hot spots? Then doesn't the wrinkles of mylar do the same?
And thinking that the focal point of each wrinkle will land perfectly on your plant, throughout its grow is kinda silly, no?)
