didn't really look into the plug in...

also if doing so it seems it only has 3 posts on the back, how would i make a current exit onto my next plug if using this
 
And you can't just install a 30 amp breaker without using 10 gauge wire and a 30 amp rated receptacle.

To run 240 volt power you need a double pole breaker. I highly recommend returning the light and getting one that works on your 120 volt power OR hiring a sparky to pull some power.

im moving in 2 weeks anyways and we already have to rewire the garage im just trying to figure out how deep we have to go. its fine if i cant use it for a couple weeks just a bit of streching

Adding new circuitry to an electrical panel isn't something someone should try to "figure out how to do that". If you don't know, please, hire an electrician.

Fires and severe injury including death can be the result if your figuring out goes wrong. Many insurance companies will deny claims if you're the cause of such a scenario.

Your easiest and most cost effective solution here is have the light replaced.

You might consider pulling a phat 240 volt feed for a dual channel lighting controller like a Titan Helios 8 for example. With dual trigger cords it could control lighting for two rooms or just one. Would leave a lot of room for expansion. Just something to consider.

im not going to attempt something im not qualified to do lol, no worries there. im pretty poor with my wording i apologize i tried putting that in my signature. but i just wanted to know if i can use this now or have to wait. the garage isn't really wired correctly for a grow as is so we planed on having my grandpa (hes an electrician) come guide us in reiring the garage once we move in

im attempting to do around 300 sq foot of growing atm so im open to whatever. we were aware that we needed to significantly raise the amperage of the place but didnt quite think about the 240 thing. i dont think its really the end of thew world here and i will definitely look into that

In that case you may want a larger controller than the Helios 8. Figure out what your maximum lighting load would ever be, including side lighting potential and size the feed / controller for that. It may also be nice to pull another 240 volt feed for AC, perhaps one for a large dehumidifier as well. Or pull a sub panel to the grow room and then feed everything off that (my preferred method as any future additions only need to be wired a short distance.)
 
the plan is 5 5x10 tents in a sealed room with a giant ac and dehu and 1 720w led board and 2 630w cmh so far per tent, with a lot of exhaust goin on lol. so as we already need to worry about a bit of wiring and such we had planed on looking into controllers tonight when we sat down and transplanted the clones

I agree. If OP is wanting such a large space anyway, may as well do it right from the onset.
 
we still have some tweaking and research to do on the grow room design before we pull the trigger on the order as well as sourcing and pricing but we're gettting pretty far, also thanks guys you 2 have been a huge help this entire time. really appreciate it and hope your 4th is more eventful then mine LOL
 
also we are gonna get a couple grows deep before we get a feed controller or co2 or any of the fancy shit. we really wanna dial in what we are doing before we invest a lot in something we end up fucking up. main reason for the sealed tents is to prevent mistakes from migrating
