Did i top my plants right??? <with photos>

Thanks for reading... I am a first time grower...I had just topped my plant 3 days ago and this new growth is starting to come in??? I thought that it wouldnt grow there anymore?? I cut it down really<...really<...low also...It is 8 inches in height...Sex unknown...Top quality bag seed.....All nodes are less then an inch apart..5 nodes total...The under growth is coming in nicely;..I think... The new growth is coming from exactly where i cut it at...

them pics are very small..

there should be 2 growths coming from each side of the stem where you cut it..

i think it looks ok but i would need a bigger picture to be sure

There is growth coming from the very thing that i had cut...is that normal??? Hear is a better picture..

Looks ok to me, but a picture from the side and not the top would be more definitive.

oh yeah i see what you mean..that is not something i have seen in my experience ..it looks like you have down it to low down for it to be a fim job ..so its like theres 2 new growths coming out of the stem...thats a weird one..

it might not grow into new tops or it might... if it does consider it a bonus

either way you have achived the goal of topping you will end up with a nice little bush for sure

Looks good to me..(you may even have FIMed her if there's 2 tiny budlets in the stalk as well)

yes...sorry..i couldnt get a better picture with my phone..but there is for sure two new growths from the cut... I thought i didnt want that if i was topping it?

thanks for the insight...what would be the end result if i so called fimmed it?? And if it just grows back isnt it just like i didnt cut it at all?????

fimming is when you cut it slightly above where you would have topped it..

it can have the effect of creating 4 main tops.. the 2 you would have had ffrom topping and an additional two coming from the stem area..like you seem to have..

what you see growing from the stem should turn into 2 tops

the main goal of topping ,is that by cutting the main shoot , the hormone that the plant has that tells the top that it is the top ,gets distributed evenly around all the other branches.So your lower growth will shoot up towards the top ,and then you also have the 2 extra tops at the top of the plant aswell ,or possibly 4 in your case.. the result is a bushy plant that will have more weight on all brances as opposed to just one top.. some strains will only yeild the same as they would have untopped ,but it will be evenly distributed ,some strains love it and will yeild alot more than they would have.. it also has the effect of keeping your plant alittle shorter..
