Did I ruin my bottle of Super Plant Tonic?

I left my bottle of spt in the attic for a couple weeks before I read somewhere that cold temps can kill the bacteria. It never froze, but I'm sure it spent some time in the low 50s/high 40s. Did I ruin it? Should I add a little molasses to the bottle?

I'd first warm it up a bit, add a tablespoon or two of water and then add a tiny bit of molasses. Or.. probably better yet contact BMO and ask them what you should do.

I cut and pasted bmos response:

The Super Plant Tonic is fine in that temperature range. It can be refrigerated for up to a year, without harm. You would only kill the microorganisms in the bottle, if temps were freezing or below for a full 48 hours. To increase the activity of the microorganisms in your bottle, simply pour it into another clean container, add one ounce of unchlorinated water, 1/4 teaspoon of sugar, stir it, and pour it back into the bottle. Leave the cap loose, to prevent damaging the bottle. That will jump start their activity. Doing this will not hurt the SPT or any plant you treat with it. If you have any other questions, just email us and we will anwser them promptly. Thank You.
