Did I make the right choice?

Hey, I recently bought a 150watt HPS Sun System and today I found online a 2 foot fluorescent grow light system with 2 T8 grow bulbs for like 40 bucks. I'm only growing two plants at the most from seed. Should I have gotten this instead? Which is better?
If you need to know any other details let me know.

HPS is better for flowering and vegging the only problem i would see if any is heat stress
HPS light goes a lot deeper the t8's and will give you fatter buds
if anything use CFLs for side light vegging and/or cloning

Yeah, I have some 26 watt 6500k coming in the mail and I was gonna get some clamps for the side lighting. How many CFL you think I'll need for the sides since i have a 150watt overhead?

You def will get better results from hps. 40 dollars for t8 is crazy. I bought a t8 double ballast for 10 bucks. I paid only a couple dollars for the lights. They work good but they dont compare to the hps. If I were you, I would only use the cfls for side lighting as I do myself. Seems to work good for me. Go to walmart and they have the double t8 fluorescents for 10 bucks. I just set them directly over top and put the other lights wherever you want. Hps should also go on top. Instead of getting the 5 dollar plant, aquarium lights, get the soft white because they push 3600 lumens each instead of 1700 or whatever it is the plant lights push. Hope this helps.

This chart is great if you want to know the correct distance to set your lights. I just used the same chart and my plants are looking better than ever.
