It doesn't kill spores, it's safe to eat not smoke.I found in the threads submerging it in water for up to two weeks and emptying it daily (water curing) kills the mold. Since mold need oxygen to live, submerging it for extended periods of time kills it, snd after a few days to 2 weeks, redry and cure as normal. I started that on a handful. Will report back on results. May add some peroxide. I know from mushroom cultivation (the gourmet kind) when you encounter unwanted mold or fungus, ‘dunking’ it immediately can save the ‘cake’ as they’re called.
Smart, covering your ass! There are some "pouncers" out there just waiting for someone to mis-identfy, misspell, not punctuate or punctuate too much etc.,I've never really seen a problem with chopping the visible mold off, and using for edibles/oil. It's always better to ingest mold than smoke it. Maybe someone with more experience on this subject can chime in, this is just my two cents
