I just got fronted about $4500 for my car that is worth $2000 tops according to the blue book.:-?

I posted it on craigslist and this guy from NY, like 4 states away from where im at said he would pay me my asking price, and send the shipping money for me to pay the shippers personally. And he did.

Im fucking broke. I live with an asswhole of a dad, and just got fired from my job i started yesterday because i was an hour late today. Insomnia is a bitch. I really have nothing going for me right now.

So what would this guy have on me if i cashed this money out, and left state?

He has my name and my dads address. He obviously has a shit load of money to throw away, so i wont feel to teribbly shity on that part. Id still leave the car somwhere and tell him where it is... Ha. Im not set on this, its just a possibility i cant ignore....:confused::confused::?

that's a twist on the nigerian money scam.They will send you a cashiers check over the amount of the car wanting you to send them the difference. the bank will cash it. The money will show up in your bank account. But the cashiers check is fake, only it will take the bank a month or so to realize that it's not real. Guess who has to pay the money back? You, even though the bank fucked up you have to repay the bank. burn the check, don't mess with it.

Wow, you know, i was considering it was a bit phoney.

The checks isuer is from the Cortse Corporation, its not a cashiers check, i thought maby it was for a business to use or something.

yeah, it was a different name on the sending adress, i just sent him an email asking why he didnt personally send it. The signiture is really shaky, as if copied. Godamnet. Well im going to see what he writes back.

I used to live in Atlanta and folks called up Clark Howard (a guy that gives money advice)
giving many versions of the story you've told. Just beware of that stuff.
