Design my 10x10 grow room please

So I was talking to a friend and it turns out that her brother just bought a house and is looking for a roomate and open to the idea of turning another room into a medical grow op.

I'm currently out of work and therefor jumped at the chance of doing something fun and productive with my time.

So, like the title said I have a 10x10' room and I need suggestions as how to best utilize it on a budget of $2500.

I have very little experience growing - the CFL grow in my signature being my only expirience. I've read a ton but knowledge and practise are very different.

As I said before, I'm not working and therefor have no current income. I need to set this room up and as soon as possible make a profit from it. My friends brother will be letting me live there for pretty much free but only as long as I have soemthign to show for it.

I would appreciate all suggestions as long as they are not malicious. Feel free to be as detailed or loose as you like. If all you know about is nutes - give me your adive on just them, if all you know is layout - awesome! And if you think I'm flat nuts for thinking I can pull this off feel free to let me know in a pleasent way.

I personally am guessing I should keep it all very simple - Soil in grow bags on the floor under (2?) 1000w HPS (cooltube?) with carbon filter, dehumidifier... with t5s in the clone/veg area.

Really need recomendations on how many plants I should aim at - have to figure out how many patients ill be providing for as well. And would love specific sources for all of what I need. Want to get a price list going asap.

Ok so I would split room in half and use t-5s for veg on one side, and the other side I would use a 1000 watt hps
Or keep it 10x10 and use t-5s for veg then switch to 2 600 hps flower. That would be better than 1 1000, u can get the 600s closer to the plant tops and cover more area with 2 6s

Well for that area i would do 4 cool sun hoods with 1000 watt hps.Do 9 plants per light in 7 gal pots.An 8 inch vortex fan with a can or phat filter.get a c02 regulator and c02 tank.In my experience the 8 inch will have enough cfm to cool 4 hoods and keep odor down.Get a simple cap controller you don't need an expensive digital crap just something to control humidity c02 and such.During the summer months your gonna need air conditioning in my experience in the past when i did a 4 lighter.I bought a portable air unit for like 400 bucks and it kept my temps perfect.I used to grow in promix,but switch to canna terrea coco.Its a little more money,but my root systems are amazing and you can reuse it 3 times which with promix you can't and hauling all that dirt out sux ass.

with that setup i was ripping about 2lbs a light

start up cost is high man .. it depends whether u want to veg and flower in seperate rooms or not .. personally I would build both a 4x4 veg room and a 6x6 flowering room, for continuous flowering. pm me with your idea, and I will give you my input if you want, gotta bounce

Thank you everyone! I'm uploading a picture of what I was thinking. Basically a 3.5x10' veg/clone room and 6.5x10' flower room with 2 lights. Maybe 3 gal grow bags and lollipop them for pretty continuous harvest.

Cannaman - really love the advise. If i do a two section like in my picture would 2 - 1000watters work? Think I can put this together keeping within my budget?

that would work.I don't know what you plan on using for hoods,but most 1000's have a 4x4 cadle pattern

My best suggestion to you is to chose your genetics carefully. You may want to consider getting a quick crop of autoflowers out of the way to build funds. From there, don't even consider a strain unless it has a short flower time of 6 or less weeks (gigabud and industrial plant are my suggestions).

Good plan - go with diesel rider or auto ak - make a batch of fem seeds and ride that out for several months. Problem is I want to be doing this legally and clubs perfer/pay much more for sativas.

So I just finished my first grow and showed my buddy the results and he decided to sponsor me - who woulda thought. So he has a whole house in mind up in mendo that he wants me to light up.

So far I will be growing for 5 people minimum with 6 plants outside and 24+ indoors under 4x1000w lights. I'm thinking cheap blasts, cheap refelctors, expensive bulbs and a false ceiling that can be lowered and covered in mylar. Thinking 3 cheap 550 cfm exhaust fans all connected to one large carbon filter. CO2 supplimentation dehumidifier and I may need an AC unit - not sure as of yet. Any recomendations are extremely welcome - sources, brands... ALready have seeds and strains/clones.

Here is a pic of a spreadsheet with shopping list as well as expected yields per grow style and plant number - let me know what you think of this - most come out to ~6 lbs on 4000w which should be accurate right? Lemme know if any of it is full of shit.
