Hey, I was just looking for some input on either A) How you would design an 8x10 grow room (with simple paint or something) or B) How you designed your own modest grow room (no small cabinets or computer cases in this thread please)

are you doing anything for odor control? if not the setup sounds good, you can even use bathroom exhaust fans for your intake/outake or cheaper 90cfm 4inch duct fans(they are noisy) for less than $20

I'm building an outdoor, insulated shed and ive only got one house near the shed (at the moment, an empty house for sale)...I'm hoping the N->S winds will carry my exhaust downwind into the woods behind my house.

I'm also constricted between a hydroponic system and soil with drips at the moment. I'm still searching the site for help with fertilizing soil (it seems most help is aimed at hydroponic systems).
If anyone has a link to a Soil v. Hydroponic thread, it would be much appreciated. I assume that with hydroponic I would constantly have to check the nutes for pH so why shouldn't I just water them by hand, it wouldn't be too much extra work.

well if you are close by and able to see your garden atleast once daily hydro is better and less work, mixing soil, flushing it out s just a hassle, if you have an issue with your grow in soil and need to flush, you need to run 9 gallons of water thru it for a 3 gallon pot, this sucks! dont rely on winds for odor control, you will stink out the whole forrest bro

Haha ok I'll search the forums for odor control (especially since I will be drying in the empty space of that plan ^^). I think I am going to do DWC for everything...but my only problem is heat. I read that if it gets above 75 degrees slime shit will grow on the roots--is this accurate?
