Dentist Recommendations?

I’ve had a super bad experience lately with a dentist that used fear mongering to get me to pay $10,000 for unnecessary treatment (invisilign for slightly crooked teeth, toothpaste, whitening, trying to charge me $700 for a very small cavity etc).
I’m looking for an honest dentist who will tell me what’s really going on with my mouth instead of pressuring me to do things that are unnecessary for their own benefit. I used to love going to the dentist and now I’m terrified. Any recommendations?

Next time, go through all the available options, benefits, coverage, costs etc., with the staff before making a decision.

Depending on how severe your issues are, you may have some time to shop around for second opinions. Are there any dental schools in your area? At the very least, see another dentist for a consultation and ask them how essential these things are. Some may be important, and some may be more optional/cosmetic.
