Dehumidifier help

I have a 5 x 5 x 8 tent running an led light, RDWC and co2. My temps are stable at 78°F RH is 75% plus when unchecked. So I have a 50 pint dehumidifier. So here's the issue I set the dehumidifier to 65% when the dehumidifier starts the RH jumps to 80% then after it runs for a minute or two it plummets to 38%, it quickly recovers to about 55% (within two minutes) and then slowly rises, it cycles about every 30 minutes. I bought a inkbird humidity controller and am getting basically the same results. Any suggestions would help.

You should keep the dehumidifier inside the room that the tent is in, not inside the tent itself. Tent is probably too small a space for it to run properly.

That's a highly rated dehuey.
Seems equivalent to my vivosun 4500sq ft model. They confuse me at times with 50 vs 70 pint ratings. Had to return a 50pint.

Hope you get a handle on that RH.

I use the previous 50pt model from Frigidaire that I bought 3 years ago.
I run it in my 5x10x8 grow room and it does a great job, but I think that your issue is that you'll need to place it in your lung room because the volume in the tent is too small for the machine to react in time.
How are you supplementing co2? Sealed room?
Is it possible to increase your temps?
78 with leds and co2 is pretty low.

I am using a 20lb tank and titan controller and it's as sealed as a tent gets. I know I will always be leaking but that's ok.
I have been thinking about a small heater to bump it up to 82 ish.
my lung room is my two car garage so my issue is the co2, if I vent my RH is good but no co2 bump. I have even thought about running a co2 generator in the garage it would be easier.
