When should defoliation begin. Right before flowering or during veg?

As a decades long butcher I can only tell you to maintain desired growth structure through veg. Then finish your defol in flower by week 5. And only a few leaves per plant by week 3-4. LOL. 2013?

Hi Rurmo
I'm going to run 4 plants:
plant 1: as the control with no defoliation
plant 2: lollipoped only
plant 3: lollipoped and a defoliation on day 1 of flower
plant 4: lollipoped and 2 defoliations - day 1 of flower and day 21
I defoliate twice and my sugar leaves take a beating through flower, I'm really interested in the results. I'll weigh the larf on the first plant up to the lollipop level on the other plants, see if the lollipop is worthwhile.
I'm going to be using 4 Serious Happiness clones.

CC I just started in January and the 4 clones have 3 weeks of veg left before going into flower, when all the interesting stuff goes on.

later on for open her up some leafs that blocking new growth sides! Later in Flower you can do this to end of the Strech.
