When I harvestrd my plants the buds were nice and dense but now the next day they feel like they've deflated alot is this normal

yup, immature buds didn't have a chance to swell. If the lights are weak they may never swell.

And regardless of how mature they are they will lose most of their weight during the dry/cure. But airy buds might get flat spots or open areas as that happens.

Plus they will soften up a bit until they are dry
