1. Purple striations, what is this def?
This is a living soil, organic no till. Top dressed / fed w/ compost tea's / rainwater. Ph 6.8ish Good to preface this by saying I know purple striations happen for a variety of reasons, heat stress / over watering included which these plants have had a bit of both early on. The purpling increased dramatically AFTER they were stabilized w/ good temps / watering schedule and started to come into what I hope is preflower stage. I've been defoliating lower leaves, so I was never able to see the chlorosis or necrotic spots until I found a couple old ones. Which makes me think N, makes me think plant is eating itself and the purple is a biproduct of the nitrogen being consumed in the stems. Fed a coffee grounds / compost extract tea to wash it through. I have tons of worm castings and bat guano and wood ash in there too so P / K seem to be out, foliar feeding with banana extract for extra iron and k...all the macros should be there from the teas...I think its N. The deficiency is in varying degrees in almost all of them. Am I wrong? lol
2. Are these autoflowers? I know a lot of people say their autos run long, the plant in the photo was germinated on 9/20 and has the most developed preflowers of any of them. I've been running 18/6 for 6 weeks on these babies and I'm afraid they are just photos, and if they are autos I'm afraid I'll underlight them 30% and screw my yield. The stipules (fork thingies, believed to protect bud sites) are big, and a lot of them have little baby preflowers but no pistils. I've heard some plants give a danky odor (mine do) and show like "PRE" preflowers in veg...so? I don't know what to do. Anything helps guys, thanks!
