I was thinking about something recently and wondered if it might work.
When people decarb their weed it is usually done in the oven at two hundred and something degrees for twenty to thirty minutes. Ovens take a while to really heat the inside of anything since air doesn't really transfer heat very well. So what I wondered is would it be possible to "cook" the weed sous-vide style and still have it decarb? If you don't know what sous-vide is, it is basically boiling something that has been vacuum sealed.
Is there any reason why it wouldn't work? Do you need the air space for the process to occur? Would higher temps be required? If higher temps were needed a pressure cooker or an oil bath could be used to get to the necessary temperatures.
Anyways it was just a highdea I had while watching the Cooking Channel.
