Dea and grow lights???

So I am considering purchasing a 400watt hps light off the internet, but my friend said I should just do it locally because the DEA watches these types of purchases.
Whats your take on this?

Pay cash? I'm sure the DEA has bigger fish to fry than 1 guy buying 1 light, if they're looking for anything they're lookin for someone buying like 20x 1,000w lights to put in their paid-in-cash house. You'll get no enjoyment out of growing if your mind is corrupted by unrealistic fears.. Just don't brag about ur grow, friends, esp. teens, will flop on you if faced with some PD intimidation after they get caught doing something.

If u dont want 2 pay cash use paypal and E-bay, but buy from an individual, not a hydro store, cause there name will b on the box as it is delivered, sum do ship discreetly though!

I would order from a shop online, most come in discreet boxes and there is nothing illegal about it so DEA cant watch anything. Now can a cop sit outside a hydroshop a follow, yes. I wouldnt buy off a person or ebay cause you never know what you are really getting. Would hate to spend a lot of money for a bulb thats blows shorty and a ballast that sets your house on fire, just
