the 1st run is for making mistakes i guess...
which i did when i brought some new plants into my flowering room that had some slight powdery mildew and also slight spider mite problem...

now they are spreading the mites an mildew like paris hilton passing clymedia..

what i started doing is spraying a cloth with neem oil (+dish soap)
and rubbing down the infected leaves...
its day 20 of flowering and i dont want to mess up the buds/taste
(OG kush *8 week flowering, im told)

if i keep the neem to just the leaves will it be tasted in the bud?

what would you do?

is it too late too really spray the whole plant?

my room is well vented w/low rH

sulfer burners/lady bugs/bug bombs/milk+water/neem oil.... whats my best bet?

how would you deal with this problem at this stage?

thanks guys (an gals)

I would spray the entire plant by doing it this way:
Take a spray bottle, cover bottom with dish soap, fill 3/4 with water, 1/4 white vinegar. Shake gently, spray all over your plants make sure you get under the leaves as ths is where the mites hide, leave on overnight. And don't get the plant dripping, just nicely covered. Next day rinse off your plants with clean water in the spray bottle until dripping clean again. This should do it. Good luck.:peace:
PS. I would also disinfect the grow room (take the plants out first though, lol).

thanks chiceh,
soo i assume i should do both sprays right before the lights turn off (1000's)

will this help with the powdery mildew or just the mites?

i cant take the plants out an clean the room (there tooo big!!)

is this strategy better then neem oil+dish soap?

im scared... i got much riding on my babieees

I use this method all the time to kill spider mites, aphids, gnat and thrips. It works. The soap, vinegar and water will kill them and clean the mildew off. Spray with only this tonight and see in the morning. Good luck.:peace:

I saw some silvery silk-like substance near just one bud on a branch (15 days into flowering) and didn't know what it was. I pulled it all off and a few days later I saw another bit of this stuff, on the same bud or branch I believe.

After reading this thread I think I might have some spider mites. Do they make a substance like this or is it something else. I know I've got a few fungus gnats and need to re-sanitize the room as I've had to do some construction and other ill-advised activities in the room (their in a grow-tent). I can't take the plants out though to do this, at least not without disturbing their light cycle. The gnats can't be behind this silk can they?

Spider mites are the fucking devil. I took a vacation for 5 days which means I wasn't able to spray my plant to rid it of the mites...well......all the fan leaves are dead and the buds now look horrible. I hate spider mites.

Yes, you have spider mites. Once you see the webbing, you are pretty far into their life cycle and they have created nests and shit on your plant. If you dont take care of it, your plant will die. Two things, you can move your plant during its 12 hour ON cycle. That's no problem. You might just want to try and spraying it down, usually once you kill them all, they don't come back, regardless of cleaning the room or not. Just be persistent with the spraying. Every 3 or 4 days till they are very very very dead.
