dark tipped buds/thrip damage

This plant is in soil and has struggled with thrips but so far I only noticed damage in the fan leaves.

I am wondering about why the bud tips have turned dark purple almost black and if this could be related.

I looked closely and couldn’t find any bud rot or insect damage but the buds look less healthy than they did last week.

Would it be wise to harvest now or should I wait a few more weeks?

There is hardly anything worth harvesting.

Purple bud leaves is more than likely genetics..

Did you get spray on the buds when you treated for thrips? What's the temperature both lights on or lights out? Have you been feeding high P/K additives?

Don’t waste anything else on this plant. Chop it and start again.
