Dark Souls 360

This game just came up on free for gold. I have put one day into it and already I have wanted to rage throw my controller through my T.V. numerous times. Was this the developers intention? Why do they make it so hard?

I believe it was definitely their intention to make it hard, damn near impossible at first. I hated it at first but then grew to love it because it takes some skill unlike most games of this day.
