Dark period before harvest

This is my first time I'm going to try a 3-day dark period before harvest. My question is do you continue giving it water for those days or will letting it dry out help with resin production I need advice would be much appreciated thanks in advance.

there is no tricks to a great or good grow. 3 more days with lights on or off is just better in most cases because people usually pull too early. Having a great growing environment, great genetics and some keep it simple techniques is all you need.

Have you personally tried it and not noticed differences? Just curious because theres alot of people who swear by it and figured it can't hurt any to try to see but i agree its not going to make a grow much better if you didn't do good throughout the grow

It doesn't do much of anything. I've harvested plants right at lights out and was too lazy to trim them all. Some I waited a few days while the plants were in a dark closet. When I finally trimmed them up and dried them there was no difference between those and the plants that were trimmed right after lights out. As @teddy bonkers said. Most people harvest too early so the benefit people see is from waiting the additional 3 days.

I like to harvest in the middle of the day right after feeding full strength nutes, so I get the ultimate grass smell. Also helps the bud dry quicker which is obviously better

I have tried every trick in the book except for stabbing my stem with a Popsicle stick.lol
The best advise i got and can ever give is K.I.S.S keep it simple stoner. less is more.

So i gave it a shot no trichrome difference but definitely got some more color probably because the ability to lower temperatures consistently for three days. Really happy how it turned out.( They were already colorful before but definitely added a bit more color)
