Dark Period at End of Flower Necessary?

How necessary is the dark period at the end of flowering? I am setting up a perpetual grow and it just dawned on me that I will have two sets of clones in the flower room at the same time. One at the end of flowering and the other right in the middle of flowering.

Its not mandatory, you dont have to give it a dark period
