Dark green curled upward leaves

Is there a problem when the leaves are curling upward? The plants are in the third week of veg in soil. The last few days I've noticed the leaves getting a waxy sheen on them and beginning to curl upward. They are also becoming more narrow, not as fat as they were before. The room is set to exhaust when the temp hits 80 degrees. This is the first time I've used soil for this strain and I've always use General Hydroponics until I started these as clones. Now they're being fed Botanicaire. The 1000 wt MH is on a mover that strides 6 feet and is about 12" above the plants. Is there a defficiency of some sort or is the light too close or what? Any help on this is greatly apppreciated! BTW, should I just go by the reccomende dosage of nutes on the Botanicaire instructions or should I mix in some other shit as well?

I had 1000w about 45 inches off some 2 week old plants, i think you may be light burning them with the 12 inches. 45 inches wasnt enough for mine, I switched to cfl's until I have a day off and can get to the hydro store and get t5's

Thanks, I did rotate the plants around a little bit and raised the light. Now they seem to be doing better. It must have been the light was just too close...
