Cuttings from hybrids becoming more sativa over time?

Have 3 cuttings from 2 hybrid strains, one I grew from seed the other strain. Both looked very hybrid-y (medium width fan leaves, tho on the sativa side of medium) up to flower. Cuts taken from both pre-flower. Both now growing looking very sativa but without the stretch. Far thinner leaves. In flower mine now look very sativa like the cutting. The parent of the other cut still looks hybrid, but it was flowered young. Is the change in expression to sativa due to age and they would have started looking that way if I'd vegged them longer or does taking a cutting sometimes change the expression of the hybrid genes? Does this ever happen the other way around (starting more sativa and getting more indica??) -- does the transformation of the plant's expression over time tell you anything compared to a hybrid that stays the same throughout veg/flower?

I feel like I read in the recent skunk issue on growing indoor Sativas that they can take a while to properly age in veg. I think the suggestion was to veg something like 3-4 months...and to use huge pots so as they never become rootbound. Maybe that is why? Either way you should try and find that issue of skunk...it has some amazing information...if u can't find it PM me and I'll scan it and email you the articles...
