Cure and storage in topical climate

Hi guys! I am mid (my first) grow, and am forward planning my cure and storage options. I plan to dry in an air conditioned room once my outdoor grow (pure Sativa) is complete in SE Asia, where I deal with constant 30-35 degree heat in addition to variable (often high) RH levels.

My questions:
1. Once I am in the curing process, is the outside high air temp/variable RH an issue if I store in masons in a cardboard box for example? Keeping my air con running 24-7 I can handle during dry, but for a long cure the cost is going to be high.
2. Once curing is complete, storage options (in the above conditions). I am considering fridge, freezer, and underground. Can anyone recommend the best option, or any to avoid?

Any tips for dry/cure/storage in the above climate/conditions would be gratefully received. It seems I have very good conditions for the grow, but final post chop stages seemingly come with their challenges!
Thanks

  1. Once they’re in mason jars the outside temp won’t matter, however drying in a cardboard box with varying temps will be a challenge to say the least. You can’t stick the cardboard box inside somewhere to make the external temp more consistent?
  2. For long term storage a freezer would be best followed by the refrigerator.
For the first few days you want 15.5C & 50rH & then You want to aim for 15.5C & 60rH or as close to that as possible for the best dry & cure. Ideally you want the longest dry possible without causing bud rot to save to precious terpenes however this is not always possible & with your climate I may recommend doing a quicker dry to prevent bud rot since you say the rH is often pretty high.

Thanks for the info Dreminen. :weed:

I won't be drying in a cardboard box. I will be drying in a small bedroom with air con, in a fabric wardrobe to keep it nice and dark - this will also help keep RH in the 50-60 range. The use of a cardboard box was referencing storing the masons after the dry, during the final cure to keep light exposure minimal.

Cheers

Yea, once there in the mason jars they will be fine. Just remember to burp them everyday for the first few weeks or so
