Crossing S1/S0 with a F1 plant

Got a breeding question. If u cross a really nice strain that was an S0 seed with a F1 Like super sour Og (male with great growth structure as well as great pollen sack stack, pure fresh cut sour lemon smell) would you have to cross it back to the S0 seed or just grow the F1's out. What would be the difference in routes using selective breeding

no such thing as S0 its S1.

im not fully understanding the question.... if you cross the F1 to an S1 plant then youd have to grow out the progeny to see what they produce right? so you have to grow out the F1 regardless.

im still not 100% sure what your asking but if you take the F1's from the (S1 X F1 [OG]) and backcross to the S1 you could find plants similar to the S1 with 1 or 2 traits added in from the OG but it would then need to be inbred a few generations to lock it all down. if you grew out the F1's and then just selected 2 nice ones from the group to breed youd get a better mix of the genes in the final product and it would be less S1 dominant.

The reason no one has answered his question is because I don't think he really understands what he's asking or hasn't been clear.

You can cross an S1 to an F1. You will get unstable results most likely with some traits being fairly consistent in showing up but many being variable.
